ATC Williams hosted a delegation from Iran (IMIDRO)

The delegates from IMIDRO were in the country to attend the annual International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Melbourne. ATC Williams in partnership with the French Australia chamber of commerce (FACCI) held a meet and greet during their stay. The event was attended by ATC Williams and FACCI staff members along with the delegation and other mining industry representatives.

During the evening Paul Williams, the founder and Chairman of ATC Williams made a presentation as well as Dr. Mehdi Karbasian from IMIDRO who gave an overview of the potential challenges facing the mining industry in Iran.

ATC Williams has a long history of working on Projects in Iran and we commenced business 18 years ago with NICICO (National Iranian Copper Industry Co). ATC Williams has since provided innovative tailings management solutions to mine operations and projects that have a water shortage. This includes the largest copper mines in the world such as Sarcheshmeh with more than 800 million tons of proven copper reserves. ATC Williams designed and successfully commissioned for this project one of the largest installations of paste thickeners in the world.

It was great to hear Paul telling us about the pioneering times which contributed to what ATC Williams has now become. ATC Williams will continue to support the development of mining in Iran by providing innovative water and tailings management solutions.
