A rewarding opportunity exists for a geotechnical or civil engineer to join our Tasmanian team, starting in an intermediate level position. The successful candidate will preferably have experience and a keen interest in geotechnical engineering, civil earthworks construction, water management and mine closure from a consulting perspective.

Your Role

You will be an integral part of the growing South-East Australian group, which includes highly experienced engineers from multiple disciplines relevant to the Tailings, Water and Waste Industries. You will be exposed to a variety of local, interstate and international projects, and will have the opportunity to work with and be mentored by our large team of senior proffessionals on the mainland. If you are the right candidate, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with specialists from other disciplines or offices within ATC Williams and providing technical direction of tailings, water and waste design studies and related analyses;
  • Construction supervision and quality assurance;
  • Maintaining effective client relationships and generating consulting business by building and maintaining business networks;
  • Providing recommendations in the area of tailings, water and mine waste management to clients;
  • Stakeholder management, including other consultants and clients;
  • Project managing, budgeting and quality control for tailings, water, mine waste and similar assignments throughout ATC Williams;
  • Project reporting, including detailed technical reports, specifications, and other technical documents.

You and Your Skills

You will be an existing Tasmanian resident or looking to relocate and immerse yourself in all that the Tassie lifestyle has to offer.

As the ideal candidate, you will be passionate about joining a close-knit team, who are committed to our clients and making our mark in Tasmania.

 

As a tertiary qualified, experienced to senior-level engineer with a proven work history in the civil geotechnical engineering realm – your experience with site planning, design and construction phase supervision will be viewed favourably. Experience in quality control and assurance on significant dams or civil earthworks projects is beneficial and will result in you being assigned to exciting and challenging projects from day one.
