At ATC Williams, we are committed to collaborating with the communities in which we live and operate. Our Sunshine Coast office embodies this commitment with enthusiasm, community spirit, and a proactive approach that serves as an exemplary model for all.
Established in 2018, our Sunshine Coast office is a proudly local team backed by national support from eight offices across Australia. The team actively champions regional engagement, recognising the benefits of building strong relationships with the area’s suppliers, businesses, and community organisations. From beach clean-ups to winning our Christmas Gingerbread House competition—there’s not much this team can’t do!
The following community initiatives are led by Tracey Rose, Office Coordinator, and Nick Brown, Office Manager and Senior Principal Engineer, with wholehearted support from their enthusiastic team.

First Nations Shirt Collaboration
In February, the Sunshine Coast office commissioned a local First Nations artist, Chloe Watego, to create an original design for their new office polo shirts. The artwork incorporates storytelling and connection to the region, providing a meaningful and culturally rich representation of the team.
The design incorporates bespoke elements such as our ability to whale watch from the office windows and patio, which is a special aspect of the location and experience. This project aligns with core ATC Williams values and demonstrates our respect for and engagement with the First Nations community.
We respectfully acknowledge the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the area.

Hands-on Community Engagement
Glenn Platt, Business Manager at ATC Williams, was recently a judge for the Sunshine Coast Biosphere Community Awards, which celebrate the contributions of individuals, community groups, and organisations in our region. Glenn also serves as Chair of the Sunshine Coast Chapter of Engineers Australia (EA) (pictured left below).
“It was my second year as a judge of the Biosphere Awards, and a great way to learn about and celebrate the inspiring impacts of individuals and companies on our unique and precious Sunshine Coast environment and community.
As Chair of EA, I lead a small committee that holds technical seminars and network sessions to celebrate the achievements of our engineers. We also conduct school visits across the Sunshine Coast and encourage students to become future engineers. Look out for our Annual Dinner in November, where we will focus on local engineers doing great things.”– Glenn Platt, Business Manager.
Planting Seeds of Hope
In December 2024, the team joined over 70 participants at the Sunshine Coast Council’s annual Seeds of Hope tree planting event as part of a worldwide United Nations campaign to eradicate gender-based violence. The staff helped plant over 350 native trees and shrubs to enhance wildlife habitat, which will remain as a living tribute to victims and survivors in the area.
Think Local, Support Local
As a commitment to the local economy, the office is proud to source 100% of team event services and daily consumables from local businesses and suppliers. In addition, they recently donated ‘gently used’ laptops to two local charities, Kyabra and Sunshine Sanctuary, which provide critical support to women and families seeking to escape situations of family and domestic violence. The team also actively supports grassroots initiatives and sponsors two regional sports teams.
Crewing for Clean Up Australia Day
Since 2023, the Sunshine Coast team has organised annual beach clean-up days, partnering with Clean Up Australia and EnviroCom Australia. The team combs approximately 1.3 kilometres of Alexandra Headland beach, removing around 50kg of rubbish. They also raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection, leaving a lasting impact on our community.
The team looks forward to this annual tradition, which helps preserve the beautiful coastline for future generations. If you’re in the area, then drop by and lend a hand.
