Who is ATC Williams?

ATC Williams is known for its technical excellence in providing Tailings, Water and Waste Management services to the mining and resource sectors in Australia and across the world. You benefit from exposure to a diversity of national and global projects, including sites in Asia-Pacific, Mongolia, and South America.

What is One ATC Williams?

‘One ATC Williams’ is a multidisciplinary approach across our offices that ensures opportunities for life-long learning and creates a supporting team-based culture.

What sets the ATCW Undergraduate program apart?

What is ATCW looking for in an undergrad?

We seek up to six undergraduates each year who aspire to help deliver projects while applying science-driven engineering solutions to achieve long-term sustainable outcomes.

Applications are open to local and international students, with several opportunities available across Australia.

We welcome undergraduates who have an interest in the following:

  • Tailings Engineering and the Mining Sector
  • Environment and Waste Management
  • Resource Recovery and Civil Engineering
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Hydrology and Hydraulics, including Dam Engineering

What will I learn and where?

The ATCW Undergraduate Program offers a full-time internship program from November to March at our Brisbane, Melbourne and Newcastle offices and from January at our Sunshine Coast office.

You’ll Experience:
Multi-Disciplinary Learning

Benefit from exposure across multiple engineering disciplines such as civil geotechnics, hydrology, hydraulics, and hydrogeology.

Practical Office Experience

Gain office experience completing civil engineering, construction, investigation and analytic work.

Fieldwork

Perform fieldwork for insights into site investigations or constructions.

Ongoing work

Graduate Transition Program:
A further opportunity to work 1-2 days per week during your final year of study.

Laboratory Experience

Gain hands-on work experience in our NATA Accredited Laboratory with a rotating roster between lab and office.

Transition Program 

Upon successful completion of the undergraduate program, you can choose to work with us one to two days per week while completing your final year of uni.

Graduate Program

Following the undergraduate and transition programs, most of our candidates become full-time Level 1 Engineers.

As an undergraduate, you see many different parts of a project. As a full-time engineer, you experience a project from start to finish and gain a deeper understanding of the significance of your undergraduate work.
