We are so pleased to announce that Hydro Engineering & Consulting (HEC) has joined with ATC Williams. Led by Tony Marszalek and Dayjil Buhle, HEC (formerly Gilbert & Associates) has provided quality hydrological and water management services to the mining and resources industries since 1997.
ATC Williams welcomes all six HEC team members. Tony, Dayjil, Kim, Thanesh, and Finlay are relocating to our Brisbane office, while Camilla remains in Bairnsdale, Victoria.
The joining of the two groups reunites Tony and ATC Williams’ CEO, Allan Watson, after some 25 years when they worked together in the engineering team at Woodward-Clyde.
Allan says, “I’ve always had high regard for Tony and the team at HEC, and I’m so excited to have them join us.” Allan also commented that this merger happens at an exciting time for the business across Australia as it continues to expand.
Tony agrees, “ATC Williams has technical skills that are complementary to our existing scopes of work. I’ve been leading a highly competent team at HEC who are ready for career growth, so the timing makes sense for us right now.”
The arrival of the HEC team, linking with ATC Williams’ water group, creates a formidable water resources business unit.
Nicola Logan, Principal Hydrologist and Water Management Service Area Leader, says, “I’m very excited about HEC joining ATC Williams. I’ve been aware of their excellent work for many years. Their expertise brings opportunities to provide a broader service offering to our clients.”
In early November, HEC’s Brisbane-based staff will relocate from their Rosalie office to join ATC Williams in new ground floor offices at 16 Edmondstone Street, Newmarket.
For HEC’s clients and existing projects, the near term remains the same. In the medium to longer term, the additional resources that ATC Williams provides will enhance project delivery.
