Begin at the Ground Up.
Our Undergraduate pathway is unique to ATCW. The elements that define our Undergraduate program are:
- Gaining a balanced exposure to multiple disciplines will help you find your path and decide where your passions fit best.
- You will enjoy participating in real-world projects and attend onsite visits, where you will see firsthand how your studies translate into practical applications.
- You will accelerate your confidence by working directly with our most knowledgeable staff.
- Your knowledge will be grounded in direct access to senior-level staff and their clients.
- In Melbourne and Newcastle, you will enjoy a mix of hands-on lab and office work and build a foundation of Geotech know-how.
- Provides university students with a full-time, fully-paid internship from November to February (in most locations).

Become a Rising Star.
Our Graduate Pathway Program is an opportunity for our Vacation Placement Undergrads to be employed on staff 1-2 days a week while they study.
You will be mentored in multi-disciplinary roles, doing hands-on work to support our tailings, water and waste projects. Building on the skills you gained while on placement, you’ll gain experience across a project lifecycle, including:
- Technical Analysis
- Assessment
- Modelling
- Reporting

Get a Head Start: Graduate Pathway Program
Upon graduation from your course, you will be well-placed to continue your early career journey into a full-time position. Armed with relevant and real-world experience in a broad range of service areas, you’ll have a head start to Level 1 Engineer or Scientist project roles.
