At ATC Williams, we believe in fostering talent and providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. We enjoy sharing our experiences and hope to spark interest among students considering engineering and science careers in the mining and resources sectors.
As careers season gets underway, it’s been great to engage with students through various tertiary events. We’ve had several opportunities to connect and share our insights with students keen to learn more about ATCW.
RMIT CESA’s Industry Day
Steven Constantinou (Senior Engineer) presented at RMIT to a room filled with eager students. Steven shared his broad experiences working on-site across Australia on a variety of projects.

Afterwards, Steven was joined at the ATC Williams table by Kevin Hii (Experienced Engineer) and Chin Vithanage (Senior Engineer), who were available to answer questions and discuss career paths in engineering.
“Attending the student careers event at RMIT University was a fantastic experience for our team. It provided an opportunity to connect directly with passionate and talented civil engineering students eager to learn about the industry and, in particular, the mining industry, which sparked conversations on exploring career pathways.
The event was well organised and created a welcoming environment for open dialogue between industry professionals and future engineers. We appreciated the chance to share insights about ATCW projects and the diverse opportunities available in civil engineering.
Overall, it was a rewarding way to build relationships with the next generation of engineers.”

Engineering and Built Environment Expo
This year, we participated in the Engineering and Built Environment Expo at the University of Newcastle. Adin Uhrig and Nathan Podlich (Associate Engineers) engaged with students by sharing their career journeys. A career in engineering is multi-faceted, with various pathways available.
Monash Aces Industry Night
At the Monash Aces Industry Night, our CEO, Darren Watt, and recent graduate Keihan Firoozbakht co-hosted a presentation to share their insights on how ATC Williams can fast-track early careers.
Keihan joined ATCW in 2023 as part of the 2023 / 2024 vacation placement program. He was the perfect person to present and share his recent experiences. Rafael Vieira (Engineer) assisted at the ATC Williams table to answer students’ questions and provide clarity and industry insights.
