Chinthaka has worked on a broad range of projects in the civil, geotechnical, and mining engineering fields with significant emphasis on tailings and water management.
His specialty areas are tailings and water management. Chin has experience with the full project lifecycle of tailings storage facilities, from concept design through to detailed design, construction and operations, and closure and rehabilitation. His specialist skills include consolidation modelling of tailings and soft soils, dam break analyses and flood modelling.
