James is a civil engineer with over fifteen years’ experience in water engineering and civil engineering, with significant focus on mining and mineral extraction. He has undertaken detailed design work on water storage dams, TSF’s, spillways, diversion drains and other mine infrastructure. He has undertaken detailed hydrologic and hydraulic assessment for mine closure and rehabilitation.
Prior to mining works, James has developed small and large scale 1D and 2D flood models to determine impacts of developments, rehabilitation and public works projects, as well as identifying mitigation measures. James has undertaken detailed design of open channel systems, bank restoration and natural channel rehabilitation projects, as well as water sensitive urban design systems for a variety of applications. He has progressed high level concept design designs for Council projects through the site characterization, options assessment, detailed design and construction. He has also prepared stormwater management plans for development applications and provided responses to council requests for information.
