Darren is skilled in investigation, analysis, design, reporting, construction, and project management for a wide variety of geotechnical, mining, and civil projects. He primarily practices in the fields of civil, geotechnical, and hydrological engineering of embankment dams for tailings and water storage applications.
Darren specialises in geotechnical site investigations, embankment design, project management, slope stability analysis, foundation assessments, life of mine planning, feasibility studies, tailings and water management, geotechnical characteristics and behaviour of mine tailings, liquefaction analyses, construction management, quality assurance and quality control, preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, dam surveillance and performance reviews and closure and rehabilitation.
Darren achieved the Golden Key International Honour Society at RMIT in 2001 and the Transurban Excellence in Engineering Award at RMIT in 2002.
