Reza’s doctoral research focused on the numerical investigation of rockfill materials, leading to significant findings published in prestigious journals such as Computers and Geotechnics and Granular Matter.

Reza brings a robust combination of academic and industrial experience to his role. He has lectured on Advanced Foundations Engineering and Soil Dynamics, sharing his extensive knowledge with the next generation of engineers. His industrial expertise spans the design and analysis of near-shore geotechnical structures, including breakwaters, pile & deck piers, and caisson piers, as well as the dynamic and seismic design of geotechnical structures like piles and retaining walls.

In addition to his strong background in numerical modelling and technical design, Reza has gained considerable experience in geotechnical laboratory testing and analysis. His tenure as a research assistant in the Geotechnical, Soil and Water Laboratory at the University of Melbourne has equipped him with hands-on skills in various tests, including Triaxial, Simple Shear, Oedometer consolidation, soil Permeability, Plasticity Indexes, Atterberg Limits, and Particle Size Distribution (PSD). Reza’s comprehensive understanding of soil mechanics testing procedures, advanced analysis of results, and calibration of parameters related to constitutive models and analytical methods enable him to efficiently and meticulously design geotechnical structures.

Reza’s comprehensive expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of geotechnical engineering means he is a valuable asset to ATC Williams, where he continues contributing to the field with his innovative approach and extensive knowledge.
