Matt Stewart is a chartered engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers and has 9 years postgraduate industry experience in the Geotechnical Engineering space in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
His background covers both technical and practical areas that include 2D and 3D Numerical Modelling of non-linear soil behaviour, anisotropy and complex soil/structure interaction, ground movement assessments, 2D Limit Equilibrium modelling of slope stability and analysis of shallow, deep and hybrid foundation systems and retaining structures.
Matt has also managed and coordinated site investigations for major infrastructure works, dams and borrow investigations, prepared CQA specification documentation and undertaken CQA supervision of composite clay liners and earthworks projects.
He is also a published engineer, with an interest in numerical modelling, and has recently published his research in the Numerical Methods in Geotechnical Engineering conference held at Imperial College, London (2023).
