Alex is a Civil Engineer, his career started in the geotechnical site investigation realm and completing designs related to landfill site, leachate treatment and transfer station design and development.
Since 2005, Alex’s primary focus has been on geotechnical and tailings engineering, dealing with project design and management of tailings / water storage facilities and associated infrastructure from project inception (conceptual designs) through to detailed designs, drawings and specification for implementation of the design work as well as oversight during construction.
Work undertaken includes both domestic and international projects ranging from relatively straight forward designs to multidisciplinary complex projects across a broad range of commodities including but not limited to mineral sands, copper, gold, iron ore, coal and uranium.
