Dayjil has had over 15 years’ experience in a range of civil and environmental engineering projects in water resources and mining. Her experience includes water resource management and assessment, water supply, water quality, development of water balance models for mine sites, and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of natural and engineered systems
She has expertise in hydrology, modelling, and design and assessment of water management systems. Dayjil has written a number of Water Management Plans as part of development approval conditions with experience in erosion and sediment control design. She has participated in the production of several Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments. With excellent attention to detail, Dayjil continually develops deliverables of high quality. Recently, Dayjil has worked extensively with the Mineral’s Council of Australia’s Water Accounting Framework and its implementation to a number of mine sites across NSW and QLD. Dayjil recently completed a Masters of Integrated Water Management at the University of Queensland where she utilised her interest in final void water management to produce a final project comparing post-mining practices in Germany to those in Australia, in particular if and how lessons could be applied in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
